Tom Hanks and High School Sweet Heart

Tom Hanks, one of my favourite actors. One of my high school sweet hearts. See him on TV again (they play Forrest Gump last Sunday), makes me happy. Making me remember all my favourite movie with him in it. You’ve got mail, Sleepless in Seattle and The Terminal. They play these movies again and again on TV while I was in High School. So you can say I have a ‘thing’ for Tom Hanks after all.

For me, old movies have ‘soul’ in it which nowadays movies seem to lack of. Even if they were to play all old Tom Hanks movies on TV I would watch them all over again and again and again. (You get the idea, right?).

I bet that some of us have certain attachment towards the movie that we like. Even if we have watched that movie for a thousand times, we would watch them all over again if they were play on TV and remember what happen next after our favourite scene and even can memorize the dialogue and even try to mimic the way the character said the dialogue!. (This part reminds me of Suits)

For some of us, especially the girls (ehemm), we have a thing for the hero. The hero of our favourite movie will be our eternal love or in my case my high school sweet heart (since they play Tom Hanks movie while I was in high school). My high school sweet heart does not consist of Tom Hanks alone; I have a list for High School Sweet Heart.  A LIST. The list also consist of Chad Michael Murray for A Cinderella Story & Of course One Tree Hill, Ekin Cheng for Storm Riders, That guy from Para para sakura and the list goes on and on and on and on……

My list of high school sweet hearts will become immortal in their movies. No matter how old they are now (Obviously they are now) , in my memory they will stop aging at my favourite movies. So don’t give me that look if I were screaming and drooling to watch a new movie starring the old & wrinkle Tom Hanks, as for me he will always look good as he is in You’ve Got Mail. J
